Advanced Settings within your menu items allows you to set specific times for visibility and availability of that item. It allows you to mark that item as an upsell (a reminder at checkout). You can also set a minimum number of items allowed (must order 5 or cannot order more than 3).
Log in to your Admin Control Panel
Under LOCATION MENU, select Edit Menu Items
Select the Group that your Item is in.
Find the item you wish to edit and click on the item name or the pencil to the far right.
Select Advanced Settings.
UPSELL AN ITEM
This is a great tool for encouraging or reminder customers to purchase another item.
MIN OR MAX PER ORDER
You can set the minimum number or maximum number of any item, within that order.
This is especially helpful with catering menus where there is a 5 person minimum, or with special items that limit the customer to 2.
Minimum is ALWAYS defaulted to 1 and the MAXIMUM is always defaulted to 1000.
VISIBLE and AVAILABLE
Sometimes you want certain items to only be available during certain times, ie. Lunch Menus, Happy Hour Specials, Daily Specials, etc.
Most people want all menus to be VISIBLE - this allows for advanced ordering. Visibility and Availability are both set up the same way in the admin panel.
